Materials:

These were really simple to make. I didn't start out with a pattern, I just dove right in. If you like, you can plan things out ahead of time. I like to work on the fly, sometimes, and most of them came out alright.

First, I painted the silver paint directly on the glass ball ornament. I tried to work in small sections.

Painting the initial guide for the silver stripes. After I had the placement right, I fattened them each up a bit.

While the paint was still wet, I sprinkled the glitter on top and tapped the excess off.

Sprinkling glitter on one wet stripe. On this ornament, I worked one stripe at a time.

That's it! I dried the ornaments upside down on some dowels stuck in glasses. Pencils would work just as well.

All of the ornaments drying on dowels.

All of the materials I used were quite inexpensive and can be used on many other projects.

Total time spent: approximately one hour
US Dollars spent: approximately 4 (I already had the glitter and the paint)
